Astronomy Australia Ltd (AAL) hosted a one-day online Astronomy Data Workshop on 29th April 2021, from 10am until 3pm (AEST). See the online EventBrite page here.

​AAL organised a one-day online Astronomy Data Workshop to inform Australian-based astronomers of the development of data-related projects and seek feedback on their usefulness to the Australian astronomy community. The workshop included discussions regarding large and small scale datasets in both the theoretical and observational domains.

Workshop Goals

The goals of the workshop were:

  • ​To inform the community of the latest advancements in nationally and internationally significant Australian astronomy datasets.
  • To discuss the interoperability of diverse datasets with a focus on multi-wavelength and multi-messenger applications.
  • To understand Australian astronomy requirements for ongoing data projects.
