Official Signing Ceremony of the Australia-ESO Strategic Partnership

This morning, Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos AO, the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, and Professor Tim de Zeeuw, the Director-General of the European Southern Observatory, signed the arrangement to allow Australia to enter into a partnership with ESO. The event was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of the Australian National University and Nobel Laureate Professor Brian Schmidt and the President of the Astronomical Society of Australia, Professor Virginia Kilborn, at the Astronomical Society of Australia’s 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting.
