ACAMAR Meeting on Astroparticle Physics, 22-24 June 2022

Online

Astroparticle physics is a rapidly emerging field at the intersection of particle physics and astrophysics. China and Australia are both key players in this field, with involvements in a number of world-leading facilities, and host to major theoretical activities. This workshop in particular looked at the nature of dark matter, other 'cosmic relics' and studies of high-energy particles and their origins.

Supported by ACAMAR (Australia-China Consortium for Astrophysical Research), the forthcoming meeting on Astroparticle Physics will be held between June 22 and 24, 2022.

The abstract submission deadline for contributed talks is 25 May 2022.

This meeting aims to bring together the Chinese and Australian astroparticle physics communities to review and discuss a variety of topics within this growing field at the intersection of astrophysics and particle physics. China and Australia are both key players in this field, with involvements in a number of world-leading facilities, and host to major theoretical activities.

This workshop in particular will look at the nature of dark matter, other ‘cosmic relics’ and studies of high-energy particles and their origins. The Scientific Organising Committee (SOC) would like to encourage contributions from all relevant activities: from astronomy, particle physics, particle cosmology, experiment to theory, from radio waves to gamma rays, cosmic rays and neutrinos. To set the scene, the SOC have confirmed a number of invited speakers to review several of these topics, see the meeting website for details.

The SOC would like to specifically encourage PhD students and early career researchers to present their ongoing and emerging projects. The aim of the workshop is to bring together a diverse group of researchers to discuss some of the greatest scientific questions of our time.

The meeting will be virtual, with Zoom details to follow soon, but there is a provision for catering to be supplied at local hubs.

To register and submit a contributed talk, please see the meeting website.

For general enquires about this workshop, or to express an interest in hosting a local hub for catering purposes, please get in touch with SOC member Gavin Rowell, ([email protected]).
