Astronomy Australia Ltd is seeking a Program Manager responsible for the oversight of a number of research infrastructure projects and facilities and to assist with the management of the Australian Government grants funding those activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of AAL-funded projects: AAL manages several astronomical research infrastructure grants and occasionally applies for new grants. The Program Manager will be responsible for several research infrastructure projects and facilities.
  • Supporting project teams to engage with industry: Astronomy research drives technology development in areas ranging from instrumentation to data-intensive software. The Program Manager will seek to increase industry involvement in AAL-funded projects by supporting project teams to collaborate with industry partners.
  • Stakeholder communications: The role involves engagement with astronomers and the Australian Government.
